About the role
Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara (NMWoK) is undertaking development work on buildings on the hapū forest and farm estates. There is also work likely required on other buildings owned by the hapū.
We are looking for expressions of interest from relevantly qualified / skilled whānau who could contribute.
Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Qualifications & Experience
We are particularly interested in builders (and related tradespeople), plumbers, drainlayers, electricians, painters, concrete-layers, plasterers, roofers etc.
Looking ahead to when we host more visitors at the facilities in the forest and on the farm, knowing whānau with cultural (eg. mahi toi, raranga, mau rākau, kapa haka), design, catering skills etc that could be made use of will be really helpful.
Requirements & Checks
Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.

About Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei
We are the tangata whenua of Tāmaki with our mana over the land and sea being underpinned by take tūpuna (ancestral relationships), take raupatu (taking of the land and sea by traditional warfare), ahi kā (unbroken occupation) and tuku whenua (traditional gifting of land ).
Ko au te tangata whenua o Tāmaki pokapū me Te Waitematā. He take tupuna, he take raupatu, he ahi kā, he tuku whenua, te takenga mai o tōku rangatiratanga, ki runga o Te Kahu Tōpuni o Tuperiri e hora ake nei.
