The Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust is the governing entity, with the purpose to receive, administer and protect the Trust’s assets to ensure the cultural, social and commercial development of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei for the benefit of its members.
It is the responsibility of the Trust to demonstrate strong leadership for our hapū through good governance, transparent decision-making and, working together with our subsidiaries Whai Māia Limited and Whai Rawa Limited, on behalf of our people.
About the role
As the Hiko Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations of our Hiko program. Your responsibilities will include managing administrative tasks, coordinating between various stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, driver induction and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
The role is expected to require 5-10 hours weekly, offering both on-site and virtual support. Flexibility in hours will be important to accommodate different users’ schedules. Given the nature and scope of the mahi, this role won't suit a full time kaimahi.
We're looking for someone who brings a mature and solutions-focused approach to their mahi, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to problem solve. You'll be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
This role involves direct engagement with whānau, so cultural competency, empathy, and the ability to build genuine, respectful relationships are essential.
Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within the energy or sustainability sector
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software, ideally a booking system.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
- A valid full NZ driver's license is required for this role.
