Ōrākei Health Services is proudly owned and operated by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. We have been operating for over 50 years to provide whānau health, wellbeing and community services.
We are based in Ōrākei/Mission Bay at Eastridge Mall with services ranging from general and family medical care, minor surgeries, immunisations and vaccinations to cervical smears and ECG heart checks.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity:
We are looking for a General or Nurse Practitioner to cover one of our GPs from May for a minimum of 8 weeks (preference 10 weeks).
The role is varied and based on a roster where the GP will provide a range of primary care services within a multidisciplinary team. The GP provides individual and whānau/family medical care within the Primary Healthcare, Outreach and Whānau home isolation settings.
The GP works closely with the Clinical Lead/Senior GP and Nursing team to offer clinical guidance, assistance, education, and support. Partnerships & collaboration with other teams within Toi Ora (Health Services) are required to provide efficient, effective, holistic wrap-around services to ensure the overall wellbeing of patients/whānau.
Flexible with templates (and not overloaded) and balance of Telehealth and onsite work if that would suit your situation.
Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako | Essential Qualifications & Experience
- General Practice qualifications.
- New Zealand registered.
- Fully registered medical practitioner with a current Annual Practicing Certificate from the Medical Council of NZ.
- Current membership of a professional liabilities insurance group (e.g., Medical Protection Society or Medical Defence Union).
- Ability to work independently and be a team member.
- Strong relationship skills.
- Integrity, honesty, and reliability.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives.
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
