Key Responsibilities
Enrolment and student data: Manage end‑to‑end enrolments and ensure accurate student records and Ministry reporting.
Attendance and whānau support: Monitor daily attendance and follow up absences with whānau.
Finance and office administration: Process invoices and expenses and support timely, accurate financial reporting.
Charter school compliance: Prepare Charter School reporting and maintain privacy and compliance standards.
Health, safety and vetting: Maintain staff vetting records and support ongoing health and safety processes.
Whānau and community liaison: Act as the main contact for whānau and visitors and support kura communications and hui.
Board and governance support: Prepare board papers, record minutes, and follow up governance actions.
Resource coordination and team administration: Coordinate resources, assets, calendars, onboarding, and systems to keep the kura running smoothly.

You are someone who:
Has strong administration experience and can confidently manage multiple priorities at once.
Has highly developed Microsoft Office skills, especially in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Has experience using student management systems or similar people-management systems.
Has at least three years’ experience in a generalist administration role.
Has experience working with children or young people.
Can understand budgets, expenditure, and variance reporting.
Has excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Can work calmly under pressure, solve problems, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Is either fluent in te reo Māori, or is committed to actively growing their reo Māori capability.
Has experience in, or is open to, kaupapa Māori, bilingual, or culturally responsive education settings.
Understands tikanga Māori and can engage appropriately with whānau, hapū, and iwi contexts.

Qualifications & Experience
Highly developed Microsoft Office suite skills, in particular Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in student management systems, or similar people management systems.
Minimum of three years’ experience delivering generalist administration support.
Experience working with children or young people.
Ability to understand and report on budgets, including variances and expenditure.
Experience in a kaupapa Māori, bilingual, or culturally responsive environment would be highly valued.
